Being a therapist means helping the client help themselves through exploring, growing, and learning. I understand that every individual enters the room with their own set of values, experiences, goals, and strengths. By utilizing a person-centered approach, building a rapport, and fostering a non-judgmental environment, clients will be inspired to explore unprocessed experiences and identify the thoughts and behaviors that are keeping them stuck.

We are all so uniquely designed; shaped by the nuances of our experiences, culture, nature, relationships, beliefs, and values. It’s important that therapy is tailored to each client’s individual needs and preferences. This begins with remaining neutral and ends with acceptance. Therapy can be daunting, and even painful sometimes, especially for those who are trying therapy for the first time. My hope is for clients to feel safe and heard in their sessions, and to learn skills they will carry with them into their lives.
My background has been working with adults struggling with varying symptomology and diagnoses. I use a blend of approaches including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and a trauma informed approach.
